What are everybody's thoughts on this game? How pro-evolution is it? Please no creation vs evolution arguments. Overall how bad is it?

It's actually more pro-intelligent design than anything else. You create a creature and watch it grow, then watch its civilization expand.

I got upset with the major bugs in the space exploration part of the game..I have several planets that I cannot enter/leave without crashing the game

It's fun up until the space exploration stage. After that I agree that it gets VERY repetitive and quite boring.

In short...

...Ignore all evolution parts. Pretend it's an innocent cartoon. Because it is. It's simply a little dream world thought up by Will Wright to play in.

That said, it's a great game. Cell stage is fun, but WAY short. Creature stage, again, is fun, but too short. Tribal stage sucks. I never enjoy it. Civilization stage, again, short, is meh. SPACE STAGE = WIN. Just sayin'.

Funny thing is, Will Wright is a die hard Evo. And yet he created a game that is intelligent design.

Really, Laz? It's kind of related to the thread topic. Cuz, you know, Will Wright is the designer.

Like I said, Chozon... got some links? :P

"WILL WRIGHT: It's funny because in the game you're kind of in the role of an intelligent designer. Yet the kind of meta message of the game is life becomes what it is through the process of evolution. In fact the other creatures around you are evolving while you're exhibiting intelligent design. Personally, I'm very much a strong evolutionist—basically atheist, agnostic-ish. For the game design, though, we really wanted the player to be emotionally involved with what they were doing."

Is it worth the money, or is it kinda a flop game?
