This game is very much like the original Pacman game. The graphics are better and your job as a firefly is to collect all the glowing eggs. Of course there are butterflies, bees and bad fireflies to stop you. There are three different enemy AI levels easy, medium and hard. Although it doesn't seem to make them smarter...they sure are faster! One new feature that's nice is the random maze generator so you'll never have to deal with repeat levels. Unlike most games these days, you can't just shoot your enemy down. You have to be quick and outsmart them. You do have a couple of advantages though. There are power ups that can help you in a couple of ways. If you get an empower power up, you are fast and invincible, and can disable your enemies for a short time like the original Pacman. Not to mention you get some cool background music! There is also a chance of you getting a ghost power up which lets you go through your enemies but you move at a slower pace. There is no multiplayer in this game. It's just you against other bugs. To keep the game play fresh I recommend trying the random maze generator. Be warned that there are lots of dead ends, so don't get stuck with a bug behind you! This game is perfectly clean unless you find glowing bug butts offensive. This game is fairly easy to install and play. Just extract the files to the directory of your choosing and launch the executable. It doesn't add any shortcuts so remember where you put the game! The graphics are pretty good and the mazes are 3D looking. Some of the mazes looked a little blurry but overall the levels looked nice. You can change the brightness in the video settings. The sound effects are pretty good. The sound on the download version are short looped wav files. The CD version of the game has more music. I really liked the dance empower tune. :) Stability wise I didn't encounter any problems. For controls you just use the arrow keys on the keyboard. If you like classic arcade games and want to run them on your system, check out Cornutopia studios and their games. $15 is a fair price, and kids and adults will both enjoy this game. There's a demo that's 4.23MB on their site, check it out!Final Ratings
