Remember Mario? Well he's back and this time for the computer. This is a freeware game. The personal site for this game doesn't seem to work but you can get it at www.download.com. The game play and story are still the same. You are Mario and you must complete all the levels, and try to save the princess or any other of your friends. Make sure you avoid or kill any baddies that get in your way. Be prepared because there are still boss battles in this game. There are a couple changes between this game and the other Marios. In this game you get 100 hit points, not the larger and smaller Mario modes. This is great for boss battles. Another difference is that you are always equipped with fire balls. This comes in handy. Finally, my favorite...infinite lives! This must make up for the no saving feature. From a Christian perspective, this game is as clean as they come. The game is easy to install and easy to configure. For controls you can use keyboard or joystick. The graphics are so-so kind of super Nintendo like. They could still use some improvement. But this is great for those with non 3D graphics cards. I wish you could play full screen, I couldn't get that work. There is no Multiplayer mode. The MIDI music is good I liked the underworld remix. The interface was easy to use. The most difficult part I found was jumping. Other than that it's easy to move around and about. No stability problems. The game play is fun, and the price is right.
