Here are some suggested site/forum template combinations that work well with one another.

Basically the Morpheus themes work well with lighter color themes.  Themes like Forum_5489, Arkanian and c3s play well with darker color site themes. 

You can change your site template on the main home page, there is a drop down menu.  You can change your forum theme by clicking on the profile link in the upper menu.
